Environmental Policy

Paul McGrogan Contracts Ltd recognises the wide public concern for the environment. It examines those environmental issues which it faces, and the risks that these may bring to the business. It recognises that by careful and prudent management these risks can be reduced and importantly, can identify opportunities to improve the business and become more competitive.

We recognise that our activities and services can be directly and indirectly responsible for environmental impacts. We aim to manage and contain these impacts to a practicable minimum and to become an efficient and trusted partner within the communities in which we serve.

Paul McGrogan Contracts Ltd will plan, conduct and monitor its operations using the best practicable means to protect the environment from impairment. The concepts of the Best Practicable Environmental Option and Duty of Care will be implemented to establish high standards of operation in all the Company’s activities. Adherence will be mandatory.

Intentions:
We will ensure that:

  • All relevant environmental legislation and regulations and other requirements and standards to which we subscribe are complied with
  • All waste generated will be disposed of in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Wherever possible, waste materials will be recycled or reused
  • The environmental performance of the Company will be under continuous review to ensure ongoing improvement and prevention of any unnecessary impact on the environment, both locally and globally.
  • Employees will undergo necessary training to encourage environmental awareness.
  • Targets and objectives for continuous improvement will be established and met.
     

Paul McGrogan Contracts Ltd will continue to improve its operational standards as a result of both its own efforts and using appropriate technological developments. The contents of this Environmental Policy will be brought to the attention of our workforce. The contents of this Environmental Policy shall apply and be displaced at all sites and locations where Paul McGrogan Contracts Ltd carry out any work activity. The Environmental Policy will be continually monitored and reviewed to ensure changes in scale or nature of the Company’s undertakings are taken into account. Reviews will be carried out annually.
